8/1/2019 (Permalink)

As we in DeKalb County gear up for back to school season, we just want to ensure students are taking the proper steps to stay safe, here are some tricks and tips while moving into a dorm or apartment

1. Make a list of your valuables, including make, model and serial number. Make a video record of what you have.

2. Have a fire escape plan. Always have two ways out of your residence when you hear the fire detector alarm.

3. Invest in renters insurance

4. Always lock your car and your room/dorm room/apartment/home.

5. Make sure to turn off appliances

6. Don't leave candles or microwaves on for too long

We at SERVPRO of DeKalb County hope you have a wonderful fall semester

SERVPRO of DeKalb County helps local school children have a fun filled afternoon

8/30/2017 (Permalink)

SERVPRO of DeKalb County owner Steve Bryant and Marketing Representative Tricia Herrera stepped out of the office for an afternoon to help local Central School students have a fun filled carnival. Central School has a large Hispanic number of students and this event was put on thru the Rochelle United Methodist Church to make all students feel important and interact together. The staff at the church had been communicating with this students weekly thru messages posted on the windows of the church, The students became so excited to read each new message weekly that it so became the high lite of their Monday morning. The church staff and volunteers decided that a school carnival with games and prizes was a great way to celebrate this year long relationship. Steve and Tricia helped to man the games and spent the hour having just as much fun as the kids! SERVPRO of Dekalb County is involved in many community activities and believes that involvement is as important as ever.
