Cleaning needed in Harmon, IL Grainery
A large farm complex in Harmon was having problems with pigeons that had got inside one of their storage bins. Being their was corn remains in their they naturally sought out food and had found a way in. Once in they had trouble getting out. Some had panicked when they were discovered and had flown into the sides of the bin as can be seen by the one on the ground in the photo. SERVPRO of Dekalb County was called in to clean out the old grain and perform biohazard cleanup on any birds that had unfortunately perished. We were able to direct the other birds out by opening all access points and waving sticks with sheets around to get them to fly out the doors. In the process of opening up the access points the farm crew were able to find how they got in and close that off as well so they would stay out. So it was back to business as usual and was "Like it never even happened."
